Early last year I did a post on Hardback, Paperback, or Ebook, but didn’t touch on Audiobooks. Honestly, Audiobooks weren’t a very big part of my life back then. However, with COVID-19 pandemic and spending more time at home I’ve come to LOVE audiobooks. I’ve listened to 23 audiobooks since July 2020 and will continue listening to many more.

The main reason I enjoy audiobooks is they are perfect for multitasking. I turn on one while I clean, fold laundry, paint, plant a garden, etc. Some of the books I’ve listened to are favorite ones I’ve already read before, which makes multitasking easier. However, there have been several instances where something pivotal or heart-wrenching is happening in the book and I have to pause what I’m doing and just listen. This is generally due to the amazing narrators who convey the great stories so well. The amount of skill to read clearly and do different tones and accents is amazing, so thank you narrators.

Next up on my audible list is the Shadow and Bone Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. While I’ve read the Six of Crows Duology I’ve never read this trilogy. My hopes is to listen to them all and then watch the new TV show coming out this month on Netflix!

I use audible to listen to audiobooks; comment your favorite platform to listen to books on.
