For 2021 my reading goal was to read or listen to 36 books and I ended up completing 46 books. For 2022 I decided to aim to read or listen to 60 books and I completed 59! Check out my awesome 2022 reads below.

New books I read or listened to this year include:

I read the Project 333 book and then successfully completed the minimalism challenge from February to May last year. Read my review of the book here.

I won Jack Frost by Rebecca F. Kenny from an online give away Rebecca hosted and it was the perfect winter read! See my review here. She also sent me a book mark and fan art to go with the book it definitely brightened my day!

I recommend checking out Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. See my review here. I definitely enjoyed this romance book!

Another good romance book was Book Lovers by Emily Henry. This was a great vacation read and you can check out my review here.

If you are a fan of romance books and Taylor Swift then Six Ways to Write a Love Letter by Jackson Pearce is definitely a book you should check out! Check out my review here.

If you like modern romance with a bit of a magic twist then check out Boss Witch! See my review here.

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo was also a great read! See my review here. Definitely recommend if you enjoy enemies to lovers romance books!

I also listened to These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan; check out my review here.

I got into reading Amanda Lovelace’s poem books in 2022, and found a lot of relatable poems inside. In fact I even got a tattoo from one of the poems that really resonated with me.

The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse by Charlie Mackesy was another poem book I read. It possessed not only poems, but also life lessons, and is a great read for any age.

Along with poem books I also started to get into graphic novels in 2022, mainly the Lore Olympus series by Rachel Smythe. Check out my reviews for the first three books here, here, and here.

Toward the end of 2022 I started listening to the Kingdom of the Wicked series by Kerri Maniscalco. The first two books of that series were pretty good! Check out my reviews here and here. However, having just finished the third book at the beginning of 2023 I have to admit I was a little disappointed in it, keep an eye out for my upcoming review of Kingdom of the Feared.

Favorite books I re-read or re-listened to this year include:

I also, listened to my favorite book series Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas; as well as, her other series A Court of Thorns and Roses and Crescent City.

I devoured the newest book in her Crescent City series (see my review here), and can’t wait for the next one!

Definitely recommend Sarah J. Maas books if you love fantasy, magic, action, romance, friendship, and adventure.

The Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard was another great ones I re-listened to this year. This YA fantasy series is full of magic, action, revolution, and romance.

I re-listened to books 8 through 13 of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, and read the newest book in that series Going Rogue. You can see my review for it here. I also checked out the first book of her new series The Recovery Agent. Janet Evanovich is one of my favorite authors, and all of her books are funny and full of action.

The Holly Black Cruel Prince Series was another one I re-listened to, and I read a side book to the series, The Lost Sisters. Definitely recommend this series if you like faeries, enemies to lovers, and action.

Another great series I re-listened to was the Snow Like Ashes series by Sara Raasch. This series as well as the one’s above are a few favorites I try to re-read or re-listen to once a year. I find re-reading my favorite books relaxing, the characters are familiar and the stories are great!

Speaking of re-reading, I also started re-reading the Poison Study series by Maria V. Snyder. I read this series growing up and forgot how good it is.

Definitely recommend if you like magic, enemies to lovers, adventure, and a series that spans several years with many interesting characters. Can’t wait to finish re-reading this series in 2022.

Another series I read when I was younger and just recently started re-reading was the House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. I finished the first book Marked in 2022 and hope to read more of the series in 2023!

I read some amazing books in 2022, and can’t wait to read more great books in 2023! My 2023 Goodreads reading goal is set at 50 books for 2023 and you can follow my progress here.
